I'd like to try putting a 3D object somewhere, but making one seems pretty difficult. Blender is not a simple program!
It would be great if there were two or three examples that we could download and use, just to get a sense of how to put them in a layer and then how they work when we look at them. They don't need to be fancy. Even just a big monolith like from 2001: A Space Odyssey would be enough.

Hi,
the 3d model use it's frustrating not because the required conversions, but because there's no real info when something goes wrong...
We should assume that everything is created from the converter is fully compliant (...or not?) and we need error message when something is not ... and we definitely need more details when something goes wrong on the browser.
I used above 3D object but it is not working on my Layar browser (IPad). if My file size is 155 bytes then what will be object size for l3d
Hello All,
We have added two .l3d models to the wiki for testing purpose. You can try out using 3d models in Layar before creating your own .l3d models now. :)
You can download them at the bottom section of this wiki page or you can find them in attachment.
Best Regards,
Xuan
I have searched for some 3d examples with no joy.
To get a l3d model seems to consist of numerous export and conversion options???
Can we get some clear examples of l3d and any direct tools to build them?
Try this link http://tinyurl.com/6hy63n4 to TurboSquid and access free & paid OBJ models which you can use to test. Good source of models including an Arnie Terminator model! (apt). ? You'll need to register for free first but you can download immediately. Hope this helps :)
