Absolute orientation of 3D objects

I'm trying to render a 3D "arrow" in Layar 4 that points in a static direction, such that it sits in a fixed location, and I can approach it from all sides.

The idea is that I can follow in the direction the arrow is pointing, and because of this, of course the arrow's orientation must be fixed in AR space.

Tests so far suggest that in Layar 4, the 3D object can only have one orientation relative to my position, so that, eg, if I set it up pointing forward and away from me, it will ALWAYS point away from me, no matter what direction I am facing.

Can anyone please comment? Thank you for your time.

This was indeed a Layar 4 problem. 5 seems to be working better.

I believe i changed the angle in the transform table.  If your testing with an iphone though it probably wont work as the iphone 4.0.2 wont even let you walk around a 3d object. try refreshing when you think you are on the other side and see if it points the right way.
