I am trying to make a layar with custom user-provided pictures.
Unfortunately, the layar internal browser doesn't provide file upload dialog when I am pressing upload button on my form on the Android, and disables file upload button at all on the iPhone. On the other side, I also can not even call external browser on the Android.
It would be very useful to have file upload functionality in the internal browser to make layar content more customizable IMHO.

Hello again.
i'm using the new version of layar on android (6.2.1) and this bug is no fixed. Do you think that we will see a solution in near hotfixes?
Can i use the default browser instead the layar web view?
thanks
Hi all,
There is no fixed date for this issue yet. I have provided some more comments to it and hopefully it can be picked up soon.

Hello. i have the same problem in android with 6.1.1 version of layar.
when do you think that this problem will be fixed?
I have created a bug report for the android client QAREV-267.
Hello Vsevolod,
I have tested the file uploading on both Android and Iphone v6.0 client. Here is what I observed:
1. on Android, Samsung Galaxy S, v2.2, layar v6.0
The upload function works in the native browser but does not work in the layar web view. I will double check with our developer to see whether we can do anything about this since we are actually using applewebkit which should behave the same as the native browser on android.
2. on iPhone, iphone4, iOS5.0.1, layar v6.0 (will be available very soon)
The upload button greys out on both native safari brower and layar web view. I googled this issue and it turned out that file uploading is simply not possible on safari browser. I have found this post which suggest some nice workaround. http://www.parorrey.com/blog/technology/how-to-fix-iphoneipad-mobil...
