screenshot transparent background option gone in Layar V5

In Layar version 4 under Settings/Options there was an option to take screenshots with transparent backgrounds. This was extremely useful in order to mockup screenshots of layars "on location" when you weren't actually able to go to that location.

In version 5 this option has disappeared and I can't find it anywhere! (I have an Android HTC Desire.)

Where is it, or can it be added REALLY SOON??? Our Manifest.AR group is preparing for a major uninvited intervention of the Venice Biennial, which could make our break all of our careers. Right now (actually yesterday!) is when we need to create our screenshot mockups, to get advance publicity for the intervention. I wanted to release our press release tomorrow, but without the transparent background function this is ridiculously more difficutl!

If this funtion is not simply hidden somewhere where you can tell me to find it, I need to uninstall version 5 and reinstall version 4, can you please send me a link? Other people in the group will need to regress back to version 4 also, if version 5 does not have this functionality anymore and it cannot be fixed in the next day :-(

Thanks, Tamiko Thiel (tamiko@alum.mit.edu)

Yes this is a big loss, especially for professionally proposing projects for public or institutional locations that require visualization! This feature is probably best for developers and so could be available through developer options upon login.

I'm with Tamiko! I'm suffering the same limitation, that feature was a killer one! Please bring it back. Also, the photo captures with version 5 is JPG, not PNG, which doesn't allow alpha. So in short:

1) Bring back the transparent background

2) Keep using PNG, or (better) gives us the option

Please! :-)

Many Thanks,

Joanan
